🎭 LA Theatre and Events: Aug 19th - 25

Thank you for subscribing to and reading Ensemble LA! It’s so exciting to see so many people reading and celebrating LA’s creative and scrappy theatre and art scene each week with me.

Please share with anyone creative in LA, anyone in a show, and anyone wanting to see shows.

Happy Monday! 🦊

Our attention this week has been on our upcoming production of RICHARD 2 with Living Room Shakespeare! We had our first off-book stumble through and spent a good portion of the days talking to friends whose living rooms could be potential venues, designing the lights and costumes, and scouring thrift stores for props. It is an exhilarating part of the process and we cannot wait to share this show with you!

Special shoutout this week to Saffron Cowboy, who are fundraising for their brick-and-mortar store in Pasadena. They’re wonderful people and host a whole range of community events along with their amazing coffee.

They’re half-funded already!

With that, let's move on to the amazing shows and events you shouldn’t miss this week! I wish I could go to all of them!

P.S. If you want to submit your own event for this newsletter, fill in this form or DM me on our Instagram page! It helps me a lot!
