Happy Monday! 🦊

Another week of excellent shows to enjoy! If you haven’t seen Flayed yet, I highly recommend catching it this week; it’s genuinely one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in the theatre this year.

We’ve mostly been resting, recuperating, and enjoying the changing of the season on some nice walks. We stopped by the Iliad bookshop—my first visit!—and were completely delighted by the well-organized second-hand play section. I think I picked up about six plays I’ve been meaning to read for $20!

In particular, I’m enjoying Galelio by Brecht right now. Studying Brecht in scene study class recently, I honestly found his work pretty challenging as an actor but fantastic to read, especially in current times. The discussion between truth and willful ignorance feels particularly enraging right now and is so well portrayed in this story of Galelio’s science coming head-to-head with the church.

Enjoy this week’s art, friends!
