Happy Monday! 🦊

We just spent a wonderfully inspiring learning about the melancholy Pierrot with The Clown School. I almost didn’t get this newsletter out today because the temptation to deep dive further into the history of this enigmatic character was too strong.

It did lead me to find this wonderful performance by Julie Andrews of Noël Cowards Parisian Pierrot, though—enjoy! Pierrot is an exciting character to work with (both as a writer and an actor!), and it was particularly lovely working with some people I’ve been hoping to work with for a while, doing creative work that’s so aligned with my own sensibilities!

It’s a lovely reminder of how stepping out of your comfort zone is not only rewarding but creatively rich, as David Bowie—who also famously dabbled with Pierrot—put so well in this interview!

And with that, on to our wonderful local creative events! Things are taking a spooky turn as we move towards Halloween…
