🎭 LA Shows and Events: Week of June 17, 2024

Thank you for subscribing to Ensemble LA, where we celebrate and share LA’s exciting and scrappy theatre scene.

Please share with anyone creative in LA, anyone who is in a show, and anyone who wants to see shows! ✨

This past weekend, I went with my wife and some friends to see No Exit at the Skiptown Playhouse. I read the script recently, but seeing the show on its feet added so much dimension to what was already on the page. This production did a great job of capturing the play’s claustrophobia, aided by the intimate size of the venue. There truly was no way for these characters to escape each other. On the drive home, we spent a good while deciding who would be in our personal hells. I’m looking forward to reading (and hopefully seeing!) more Sartre plays in the future!

With that said, it’s a jam-packed week! On to the clowns, performers, and all-out entertainers. Here are some shows you shouldn’t miss.
