🎭 LA Shows and Events: Week of June 3, 2024

Welcome to Ensemble LA’s first newsletter! I’m sure this project will evolve, grow, and change as we go, but right now, my goal is to celebrate and share LA’s exciting and scrappy theatre scene.

I’m writing off the back of taking a Shakespeare’s Clowns intensive with The Clown School this past weekend, which was SO inspiring and, as usual, full of the most wonderful people. Growing up with Shakespeare (in the oh-so-serious UK), I had never thought much of the comedies, clowns, fools, and idiots and have really been growing to appreciate them in the last couple of years. This past weekend felt like the crown on top of this new love affair. Shout-out to Two Gentleman’s Launce and Hamlet’s Gravedigger, who I spent most of my time working with.
