Happy Monday! 🦊
This week I was truly blown away by a book I found in a little free library—Yoshi Oida’s The Invisible Actor, which blends philosophy and Eastern and Western theatre practice. He discusses ways of getting out of your head and into your body and draws on lessons and stories from his life, particularly from Noh theatre and performing in Peter Brook’s company in Paris. It reframed a lot for me and was just very inspiring and interesting to read all around. I highly recommend it!
The events are starting to take on a cozy end-of-year vibe! Next week will be the last newsletter for the year and I’ll be including shows right up until the end of the month so submit anything you have coming up in 2024 below!
